Visiting Country Kids

Last Friday we visited Country Kids, to join in with their activities with Lee, and have morning tea and a play on their playground. Some of us were returning to a familiar place as we used to go there before we started school. It was great to see Marg, Lindsey, and our other friends there. They all thought we had grown a lot.
Lee had lots of balls that were spiky, and we bounced, caught, and rolled them, and even pushed against each other with them. Then we rolled two really big ones across a circle and back again, and had a tug - o - war with a big thick rope.
After morning tea, we spent time playing. Zoe and Amy really liked the big swing made from a mussel buoy, and Mia enjoyed spending time with her little brother. Some of the girls played houses with the dolls, and other children loved the climbing frames and activities in the playground. Thank you to Country Kids for a lovely visit.

Playhouse on the move.

Last week our playhouse went for a ride on a tractor. Mr Collin lifted it up, and drove it around to the front of the school.

It was a bit of a squeeze to get it between the trees.
Then he had to drive on the tennis courts.

Now it looks good beside the adventure playground.

Caterpillar Time

We are anticipating the opening of our first Monarch butterfly chrysalis any day now. We have had lots of caterpillars, and they have eaten all the leaves on our swan plants. We found new homes for some, and are watching the remaining 3. We will let you know when it happens.

Kayaking in Fiji

When we were kayaking we saw some goats and we saw one goat in a cave. We saw a turtle and we made a raft. We saw lots of fish and coral, and we also found lots of hermit crabs. We played with bamboo sticks. We love eating coconut.

Massage in Schools

This week we are learning how to give each other a gentle massage. It feels great, and we are learning to respect and be gentle to our friends. Kirsty comes to show us what to do. We have learned to massage our partners back, head, and arms and hands. The things we do have names to help us remember them.

The Concrete Truck 1

One day a big concrete mixer
truck came to school and we
watched them pour cement
for our new paths.

The Concrete Truck 2

It was cool watching the men pour the concrete down the chute into the wheelbarrow.

The Concrete Truck 3

The man poured the concrete from the wheelbarrow into the path.

The Concrete Truck 4

A little fence blocked the concrete from running away, and made
the sides of the path straight.
